What's in a name...
The namesake, The Charles Lane, was inspired by the sisters’ love and personal connections to Charleston, South Carolina and London. When MaryJoe attended College of Charleston the other sisters would visit and each fell in love with the city instantly. To this day, the charisma, elegance and timeless, southern charm embedded within the city limits serve as inspiration for the creativity that the sisters draw upon in their designs. Tying their style to London, the sisters would visit Angela and her family in London where she spent several years with her family. All of the sisters loved the city and would find themselves pulled toward the same quaint street full of character called, Charles Lane.
The Charles Lane represents the sisters’ collective experiences, style and personality, while underpinning the very definition and essence of their sisterhood, heart, soul and everlasting bond.
